FAQ

  • Why do I have to take Voice, Acting, and Musical Theatre Dance?

    • Each class is specifically designed to help the student progress.  The voice class is to enrich the sound of the Musical Theatre singer. The Acting class will help develop the student’s stage presence, while the Musical Theatre Dance class gives each student an opportunity to learn the various styles of dance required for productions.

  • Why do I have to take Ballet or Jazz?

    • Ballet and Jazz both offer classical training for dance.  Many times an actor or singer may be called upon to dance.  These fundamental classes will help to prepare students for all roles in any given show.

  • My Tap and/or Jazz class conflicts with Rehearsal, what do I do?

    • We advise and recommend Tap and Jazz.  However, if you are a member of the company, rehearsals are your first priority. Remember Musical Theatre Dance will include both tap and jazz styles. Also, check the schedule to see if there is any other opportunity for those classes.

  • Can I take classes elsewhere and be in the company?

    • Yes, you may take classes elsewhere and be in the company.  However, we ask that you fill out and return the “Offsite Class Form.”  If you are taking offsite classes they may not exempt you from the required Acting, Voice, and Musical Theatre Dance Class.  This is left to the discretion of the Directors.

  • If I take Musical Theatre Voice, Musical Theatre Acting, and Musical Theatre Dance will I be in the production?

    • No, Only company members will be in the production.

  • What does my monthly $75 cover?

    • Your Company Tuition covers production expenses such as costumes, props, sets, royalties, rentals, rehearsal time, and more.
