Beginning sight reading
classes
Learn how to read basic musical
notation and produce corresponding relative pitch at sight
through the use of Solfege (Do, Re, Mi …).
This will be a 4 or 6 week
course beginning June 11th and ending July 18th.
Classes will be held at the Ballet Academy of Texas Thursday and
Tuesday evenings from 7:00 - 7:30. No supplies are needed.
Cost is $50 or $75 for the course depending on the number of
weeks chosen. Ages 8 - 108 are welcome.
Semi-Private Voice Lessons
Students can sign up for time
slots according to age. Lessons will include two students per
30 minute intervals. The 6 week course begins Tuesday, June 10th
and ends Thursday, July 17th. Lessons start at 7:30
pm. and will be offered every 30 minutes. The course is $75 for
the duration. Materials will be an additional $10.00. Only
prescheduled conflicts will be appointed a make-up time.

Your Instructor: Laurie
Granlund
Laurie Granlund brings 24 years
of voice teaching experience to the academy. Most recently she
was the featured guest artist for the Irving Symphony's
Christmas Pops Concert, and has also been the soprano soloist in
several Dallas area symphonies in Handel's "Messiah" and
Rutter's "Requiem". Among her theatre credits are Dallas
Summer Musicals National Tour , Casa Manana, Cruise Ships and
Six Flags. She has a Bachelor of Music Degree from the
University of North Texas. She continues to sing professionally
and teach privately. |
