Dear Spring Performance
Participants,
The staff and I
have completed the programming for our upcoming Spring
Performances May 31st and June 1st at Coppell
High School Auditorium. We have divided the dancers
into 4 performances: Saturday May 31st at 5:00 p.m. and
7:00 p.m., and Sunday, June 1st at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
Each performance will consist of 2 Acts: Act 1 of
various Ballet Classes which will be named Etudes, and
Act II of various Tap, Jazz, Modern, Musical Theatre,
and Hip Hop classes to be named Stage and Screen.
As much as
possible we have tried to keep the children together by
class and to try to schedule them to perform their
multiple dances in the same performance. However, that
is not always possible, and we appreciate your
understanding in this matter. Nor is it always possible
to schedule siblings in the same performance! Our goal
is to not have any show be too long, and to give the
students as many performance opportunities as possible.
By dividing the students
into (4) performances, you are able as a parent to bring
as many family members and friends as you would like to
the shows as there should be ample seating in the
auditorium. There are no tickets for sale
.your
previously paid auditorium fee includes admittance to
the performances for you and your guests. We do however
need to ask for some parental volunteers to help with
ushering (handing out programs, seating), and to help
check-in the dancers backstage. Sign-up Sheets will be
posted on the Bulletin Board soon! Please think about
how and when you might be able to help. PARENTS WHO
HAVE VOLUNTEERED TO HELP CHECK-IN AND USHER WILL BE ABLE
TO PRE-RESERVE SEATS IN THE AUDITORIUM FOR THEMSELVES
AND THEIR FAMILY.
Once again the
Ballet Ensemble of Texas Parents Guild will be selling
flowers for all the dancers at the performances. Plan
to buy your flowers from them and support your
performing company! We will also have our annual Silent
Auction in the lobby.
Your child is
scheduled to perform his/her dance(s) at the following
time(s):
Their MANDATORY
Rehearsal Time(s) that is scheduled at Coppell High
School Auditorium the week of the performance is:
Please plan to arrive at
least 15 minutes prior to this rehearsal time. Please
note that these onstage rehearsals are not in
costume unless specified. Save your new outfits for
the performance! Just wear your regular dance class
clothes to the stage rehearsals.
Thank you for a wonderful
year instructing your child, and we hope to see you this
summer! |
